the second annual grand avenue festival will once again be featuring a fashion show of garments created from trash/junk! peeps will be modeling dresses, suits, costumes and accessories made from recovered materials. think: product packaging, old bike tires, grocery bags, doormats, toothbrushes, wine corks, beer cans, cardboard & all other wasted things repurposed into wearable
art.
Modeling in silence = a drag..... actually anything in silence = a drag.
We are assembling a trash percussion & typing corp to provide the soul and tempo for the event!
Trash percussion = free form drumming and et cetera on a variety of percussive non-drums: think sinks, cans, jars, tins, spoons, boxes, mugs, spoons, tables, chairs and any other such thing you can get to resound.....
Typing Corps = free form tippa tappa typing on old typewriters to create a phantasmagoric din of clicks, spins and dings!
